Joey has five years of industry experience. A native of Southern California, he moved to Chicago to attend culinary school at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago in 2003. Joey began his hospitality career working in the kitchens of the InterContinental Hotel Chicago. Since 2006, Joey has been a member of the Hilton Family making The Drake his home after his tenure at the Hilton Chicago.
Joey is known best by colleagues and clients for his upbeat, professional attitude and his contagious smile. His creativity, diligence and culinary background make Joey an excellent asset to the Catering Team at The Drake Hotel.
Joey is manages the following types of large events: Citywide Convention Affiliates, Retail Companies, Financial and Law Firms, Educational and Health Organizations, Real Estate Companies, and Technology and Management Consulting Firms.

Tara Swift started her career in catering 14 years ago, working at two of Boston's most premier hotels, The Boston Park Plaza Hotel and The Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. Tara eventually moved to Chicago to pursue her passion in catering, and had the opportunity to work for two of the city’s largest hotels, the Sheraton Hotel and the Hilton Towers. Tara is recently married, and has been working at The Drake since June of 2007.
Tara brings to The Drake a diverse background in all types of event planning, and is widely respected for her ability to plan, orchestrate and deliver a flawless event, all the while offering a warm smile, calm demeanor, and a consummate air of professionalism. Current market segments include: Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Political Events, Medical/ Healthcare/ Hospitals, Associations, Local Association Events, 65 guests and under.
