Be a part of history
Since its opening in December 1933, many great people have left their mark on the Cape Cod Room. To this day, visitors to the Cape Cod Room can see the initials of Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio carved into the world famous wooden bar.
You too can become a part of history. When groups of 20 or more book a party with us they will be presented with a paddle for their signatures. The signed paddle will soon after be displayed in the lounge area where spectators can view it for generations upon generations to come.

CAPE COD ROOM GENERAL INFORMATION
Opening Date: December 1933 - was opened for the World's Fair, designed by Ben Marshall - archItect for The Drake Hotel Menu: Fresh Fish and Seafood, steaks available for those who do not like seafood
Capacity: 150 People
Atmosphere: Cozy, nautical décor, with copper pots hanging from the ceiling, navy and sandalwood table cloths, stuffed sailfish, and other fish, lobster and crab adorn the walls. The bar is famous for its carved initials belonging to Jack Benny, Marilyn Monroe, Joe DiMaggio, and some of Chicago's forefathers.
