Ann O’Riordan is the epitome of a consummate catering professional. Her loyalty with Hilton spans her career, which includes assignments in catering, food and beverage, and hospitality. Before becoming the Director of Catering and Events at The Drake in 2008, Ann served as a Senior Catering Manager at the Hilton Chicago for almost ten years, where she planned and executed events up to 2000 guests and established relationships with meeting planners and vendors across the Chicagoland area. As Director of Catering and Events, Ann oversees a team of ten catering and events professionals, facilitates close to 100 weddings a year in the hotel’s multiple banquet spaces, and has been a vital element in making The Drake one of Chicago’s premier venues for the Kosher and Indian wedding markets. Ann has made Chicago her home for the past 17 years and in that time has become a wife and mother.  She is truly grateful that her passion for what she does has allowed her to serve her guests in the true spirit of Irish hospitality and create memories for her clients that they will cherish for a lifetime!

John joined The Drake family in June of 2008. He joined our sales team with over 13 years of catering experience from several Hilton properties in the Chicago area. John is very detail-oriented and can quickly assess the guests’ needs to offer the appropriate service. His longevity in this market has enabled him to follow up and maintain relationships with his past clients.

Antoinette is from Killarney in Ireland where she started working in hotels in 1988. She studied Law and French in University College Cork, but followed her heart and went on to graduate in 1998 from the University of Birmingham U.K. with a degree in Hotel Business Management.

Antoinette has worked in many hotels in Ireland, England and the United States and she has now decided to focus her career in catering here at The Drake. Antoinette has worked at The Drake since 1998 and is well known for her superior customer service and her ability to exceed client expectations creating memories for a lifetime.

Bill has a widely diverse background in his chosen field of catering. He has achieved success in such varied markets as Chicago, Vail, Denver, Maui, Madison, Memphis, and Hamburg, Germany.
He matriculated from The University of Massachusetts, having earned dual degrees in Business Administration and Hotel and Restaurant Administration. Having eighteen years of experience specifically in the Chicago catering arena, Bill maintains his passion for weddings and exclusive catered special events and feels that his reputation is strongly grounded in an understanding of customer satisfaction and his innate ability to exceed expectations for all his clients' personal preferences.

Bill's expertise, care and special knowledge will be a welcome addition to the staff of the historic Drake Hotel.
