The sales manager at the Drake was absolutely fantastic. From meeting us in the baggage claim area at the airport to drawing up floor plans and personally delivering them (along with a catering manager) over to the Fairmont, she was everything a client can hope for. We experienced some low quality sales people in other hotels on our trip which made Christie's service shine even brighter.
When we got to the hotel and the General Manager was there to greet us on a Sunday night I just know it made my client Cathy feel very well taken care of. From a service stand-point there is not an ounce of doubt in either Cathy or my mind that the Drake would take better care of our group than any hotel we have seen.
You really should be proud of the staff you have at that hotel - they are in a class of their own. Feel free to pass this message along to Christie Gillespie as well.

I am not a fan of or adept at questionaires. But, after 10 years of working as secretary of Gray Iron Founders" Association(GIFA), which has been holding its February(now March), June and December meetings and the dinner dance at The Drake for many years, I am now getting accustomed to the procedures and protocols, so I can relax a little. Unfortunately for you, I am contemplating retirement, having entered my eighth decade and completed my 45th year as a lawyer. Therefore, I am looking for a successor, and am considering a new 25 year-old lawyer in my firm, who will have to go through the learning process.
That being said, I would like to congratulate you on the attention The Drake has been giving me the last 10 years and GIFA the last 40+ years. There have been some glitches, and I recognize there always will be, especially if I do not pay attention or am distracted. This year's dinner-dance 0n 12/5 was a notable success. I have to attribute this to Ms. Nogal and Ms. Luna. They were truly attentive, helpful and professional. Also, I was not distracted.
The facilities and services were excellent. Captain Jack, our maitre d'hotel, was superb. Thank you very much.
