Cocktails4Causes

Each month the Drake Hotel hosts Cocktails4Causes in the Palm Court, which is a charity cocktail event that helps raise awareness for an organization. Last night, we were honored to work with Linda Zagar to help promote the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Linda lost her brother, Lew, in August of 2009 to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML a form of cancer that affects your myeloid line of blood cells and only has a 34% survival rate. Linda has devoted her life to raise awareness and funds for this dreadful disease so no one has to go through what her brother did. There were free hors d’oeuvres and 50% of the bar tab went directly back to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We are so pleased with the number of people who attended last night’s Cocktails4Causes and a thanks to Linda for shedding light on this disease.   We hope to see you all next month for August’s Cocktails4Causes.
