The Drake Hotel Holds Annual Grand Brunch Buffet in the Gold Coast Ballroom and Afternoon Tea Service in the Palm Court

 

CHICAGO – March 31, 2017 – Rejoice and be glad! The Drake Hotel in Chicago, located where the Magnificent Mile begins near the iconic cathedrals in the neighborhood, is celebrating Easter with the annual grand brunch buffet in the Gold Coast Ballroom and the legendary afternoon tea service on Sunday, April 16, 2017.

For brunch expect an ensemble of specialty cuisines, desserts and libations created by Executive Chef Herve Cuyeu from Boudreaux, France and his international food and beverage team.  Indulge in the Easter buffet in the opulent ballroom with panoramic views of the lakefront and park, while enjoying the live entertainment of the Steve Biossat Trio. Rise to the occasion and feast on elaborate stations including the traditional carvings of rosemary dijon roasted boneless leg of lamb, 21-day-aged New York strip, and entrees of seared walleye pike, Berkshire grilled pork tenderloin, and free range chicken. The sweet and savories are sure to please with an assortment of baked goods filled with berries and nuts, fluffy pancakes paired with fruit compotes, farm-to-the-table eggs and country meats; crisp garden salads and soup; cheese & charcuterie; sushi and Cape Cod seafood. The brunch will also feature decadent dessert displays designed by Brazilian Pastry Chef Bruno Bell Alves including springtime favorites - from angel food cakes, cobbler pies and passion fruit rum babas to macaroon towers and marshmallow guava s’mores just to name a few of the delights.

 

The children’s room will be decked out with a miniature buffet table with bite-size delicacies and desserts, plus entertainment including a playtime with the Easter Bunny, balloon and caricature artist, face-painter, arts and craft tables, a movie center and a complimentary family portrait by borterwagner photography. Seating times commence at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m., with seatings occurring every half hour.  Pricing is $115 per adult, $39 for children six (6) and over, while children five (5) and under dine complimentary. The Drake will also offer an Easter Afternoon Tea service commencing at 11 a.m. through 5 p.m., with seatings lasting one and half hours. CHICAGO — March 14, 2016 – Come Sunday, March 27, 2016, the grand dame of Easter brunches in the Gold Coast neighborhood will be held in Chicago’s opulent Gold Coast Ballroom at The Drake.  Beyond brunch, dinner will be served with the finest of Easter fare in the charming New England-style Cape Cod dining room.

Gold Coast Ballroom Brunch
