Movie Monday continues every Monday in November and December as we pay tribute to our veterans and get into the holiday spirit with all your favorite holiday classics.
- November 3rd- The Gold Rush (1925)
The Tramp goes to the Klondike in search of gold and finds it and more.
- November 10th- The Best Years of Our Lives (1946)
Three WWII veterans return home to small-town America to discover that they and their families have been irreparably changed.
- November 17th- Santa Fe Trail (1940)
The story of Jeb Stuart, his romance with Kit Carson Holliday, friendship with George Custer and battles against John Brown in the days leading up to the outbreak of the American Civil War.
- November 24th- The Bishop’s Wife (1947)
A bishop trying to get a new cathedral built prays for guidance. An angel (Cary Grant) arrives, but his guidance isn't about fundraising.
- December 1st- Beyond Tomorrow (1940)
The ghosts of three elderly industrialists killed in an airplane crash return to earth to help reunite a young couple whom they initially brought together.
- · December 8th- Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
Watch when a nice old man who claims to be Santa Claus is institutionalized as insane, a young lawyer decides to defend him by arguing in court that he is the real thing in.
- December 15th- Scrooge (1935)
Scrooge, the ultimate Victorian miser, hasn't a good word for Christmas, though his impoverished clerk Cratchit and nephew Fred are full of holiday spirit. But in the night, Scrooge is visited by spirits of another color. Straightforward adaptation of Dickens.
- December 22nd- It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)
Watch as an angel helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed.
- · December 29th- A White Christmas (1954)
A successful song-and-dance team become romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general.
Movie Mondays are held every Monday at 7PM in the Palm Court. To prepare for the holiday festivities, Movie Monday will begin at 7:30PM starting November 17th through the rest of the year.
