Brunch will be Served in Gold Coast Fashion Where The Magnificent Mile Begins at The Drake Hotel


CHICAGO — Reserve the second Sunday in May to shower mom with the love and attention she deserves. After all the meals she has prepared over the years, treat her to a taste of The Drake to celebrate her day. Impress her with a royal brunch fit for a queen set in the Gold Coast Ballroom overlooking the lakefront at the fashionable address on North Michigan Avenue. 

Let her eat cake, sip mimosas, be serenaded by the Steve Boissat Jazz Trio, receive a rose, and indulge in the extravagant brunch buffet prepared by Executive Chef Herve. Who better than a French chef to pamper her with the sweet and savory dishes of the Spring season including, but not limited to Nutella stuffed French toast, farm fresh custom-made omelets and eggs benedict, asparagus and goat cheese quiche, home-made croissants, berry scones and jams, yogurt parfaits with strawberry pearls, smoked and pastrami cured salmon, hand-rolled sushi, citrus coriander baked snapper filet, slow roasted au poivre New York strip, honey & herb roasted chicken, pork tenderloin with Marsala wine sauce, English pea & Scallion Soup, Bacon cloud, English pea risotto, ratatouille and buttermilk whipped potatoes.  No need to save the best for last, the dessert station is front and center on the buffet, lined with lime rum crème brulee, berry pies and cheesecake, chocolate mini baba and bon bons, and more created by Brazilian Pastry Chef Bruno Alves. 

The Children’s Room will display a miniature buffet sorted with crudité shooters and ranch dressing; mini corn dogs, hamburgers, and pizza; ham and cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches; chicken tenders and tater tots; brownie bites, cake pops, Jell-O cups, and fresh fruit skewers.  Kiddieland will be equipped with movies, balloon and caricature artists, face painters, and the Borter Wagner Photograpy agency taking family portraits.

In addition, The Drake will be serving a special Mother’s Day dinner menu in the Cape Cod Room, located at the Arcade Level adjacent to Chanel.
