Salsa is a stylized Cuban dance that began in New York City nearly half a century ago. For the first time, on Wednesday, May 14th, from 8 PM—11PM The Drake Hotel’s Palm Court will transform into the capital of Chicago’s salsa scene with help from V1-5. For beginners, show up early for a one hour tutorial on the fundamentals of salsa at 7 PM. Complimentary and open to the public, Palm Court will also offer wine and beer specials for dancers to stay hydrated throughout the night. For reservations email or call 312.932.4619.

Conversely Palm Court will host an older, more intimate dance, the Tango on May 29th through Tangoche. From 7:30 PM—11 PM, for $25, guests are greeted with a complimentary drink, invited to take part in a 45 minute lesson followed by three hours of Tango.
